Introduction to Business & Technology

 

IBT explores some of the most exciting and highest in-demand careers in America. Students learn business and technology skills required in the business world and utilized in virtually every career pathway today. The course particularly emphasizes computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and the more the student knows and uses them, the more successful they become in high school, college, and life! Students learn about actually working in a business environment, managing a business and even being a business owner or entrepreneur. They will learn and acquire employability skills including problem solving, teamwork, creativity and the ability to communicate exceptionally well. Whether the student  hopes to one day be a doctor or a nurse, work for the Atlanta Braves, design computer games or be a business owner they will use skills acquired in IBT.
